Step 4 Adding your Storage in Hitachi Ops Center

Lets add your Storage Array to the various products. For this you'll need your array login details. If you dont know what this is you can lookup the default credentials via the QR Code at the back of your storage array. Login to your deployed Ops Center instance by accessing:
https://<DNS or IP>/portal.

Administrator

Onboarding your Storage

Click on the Administrator product in Ops Center. Next up select 'Storage Systems' on the left and then the '+'. Specify your SVP/ESM or Controller IP along with Username and Password to onboard your storage array.

step 4 1 1
Give it a couple of minutes to register your array. If you have any hosts created on the embedded UI, these will automatically be pulled into Ops Center Administrator.

Discovering existing hosts that might exist

However, if you managed this array with another instance or product, you can import the server by doing a host scan, by going to 'Servers' and then selecting the 'Eye'-icon top right of the screen to import existing host groups on the array

For now, we'll link our storage array with our Ops Center Install. In a production environment you'll most likely use the Probe Server at the local site, instead of your Ops Center Server itself. To setup your ISM (Intelligent Storage Machine) probe check out our Probe Quick Setup Guide.

If you click into Analyzer, head over to 'Administration' and select the '+'

step 4 3 1
